People often come to me with lower back pain.
There are many causes of lower back pain.
Let me list a few. I have named the causes by the scenarios.
You get the scenarios?
Sitting at a desk for long periods then getting up and moving, can make an aching back worse. It also changes your back posture.
Driving long hours, concentrating on the road and being a safe driver. You sit for long periods, then add the stress of avoiding accidents or poor driving conditions. The adrenalin released from the stress helps to make your muscles rigid. This causes some aches. Your body gets stiff and sore and it seems to pool in your back.
Bending over and suddenly a twinge happens – it happens to us all at some point. Getting clothes out of the washing basket, lifting a child, you see the picture.
I love going to the gym. I feel great when I lift something heavy. Except for that time I lifted and then I felt something move and it wasn’t the weights. Ouch.
Yard work involves lifting heavy things that we are unaccustomed to doing regularly. That weekend task just got harder didn’t it? Oh wow, that whipper snipper gets heavy after a while!
remedial massage – if you would like to get in there and get it really rubbed out
orthobionomy – if you are experiencing pain in a place that is too tender to massage
relaxation massage – if your neck pain is more stress related
reflexology – if you need to not be touched at all in the area, there are other options, of which reflexology is one.
