My husband is home today with hay fever. He asked me to make a remedy for the symptoms. He knows that reflexology treatment helps hay fever.
He also loves reflexology.
I decided to make a foot balm with essential oils. This would be used during a reflexology treatment to help the hay fever symptoms.
Reflexology helps to alleviate many minor ailments including hay fever, sinusitis, constipation, anxiety, insomnia, stomach ache, and gall bladder symptoms. It works well with other therapies to manage neck and shoulder pain and hip and knee pain.
The best treatment schedule for constipation focuses on the digestive reflexes with gradually increasing depth over three treatments. Results are remarkable.
Neck and shoulder pain can be alleviated through direct pressure applied to the neck and shoulder points. This releases tightness and discomfort enhancing the effectiveness of a remedial massage treatment.
Clients with insomnia (trouble with getting to sleep) usually find an improvement in their sleep the night of a treatment. Reflexology works well with essential oils such as lavender, vetiver, frankincense, sandalwood, and mandarin to promote sleep. Encouraging ‘sleep hygiene’ practices in addition to reflexology and essential oils promotes a quality drug free alternative to managing sleep problems.
1/4 cup Shea Butter
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
15 drops Essential Oils (roman chamomile, eucalyptus, lemon, lavender)
I use 30 grams of the foot balm with 5 drops of EO.
Give it a try yourself!
