What is it?
Eastern cupping is a myofascial treatment which uses heated cups to loosen the fascia by vacuum. The heated cups cool quickly on the skin. As the air cools, the skin is sucked up into the cup. This method draws congestion to the surface away from the fascia to be excreted through the skin.
Who is it for?
Sporting people, body builders who have thickened areas on the back will benefit from cupping. Areas of intense tension are eased quickly and almost painlessly, allowing access to the muscles quickly.
How long does it take?
Cupping can be incorporated into a one hour remedial therapy session or completely separate as a stand-alone treatment.
How often is it recommended?
3-6 weeks apart is adequate time to allow toxins to settle and be removed.
